Congratulations to the Eagles for taking it to Crater 41-24 last night in an SSC contest. The Eagles won 8 out of 14 weight classes, with 5 of them ending in a fall. Trent Kaiser, Steven Josephson, Johnny Wilkerson, Mario Rivera, and Manny Valdovinos all registered pins to take the Eagles out to a 38-9 lead after the first 9 matches. Picking up major decisions were Chris Wilson and Gage Baumer, while Aaron Lorenz also contributed to the cause by winning a decision to solidify the victory.
The Eagles will be heading to Eureka, California this weekend to compete in the North Coast Classic. Several varsity wrestlers will be staying home this weekend due to high match counts, which opens the door for our second Varsity to get in their and show the depth that Eagle Point in fortunate to have.
