Dan Gable- Haunting
In 1970 at 142lbs, Larry Owings upset Dan Gable in the NCAAs. It was Gable's only loss in High School and College. This loss still haunts Dan Gable today even though he says it helped him to be a world champion and Olympic Champion.
Coach Gable reinforces what we have talked about all season: Work hard and believe in your abilities, never underestimating your competition. We have a great opportunity to do big things this weekend, and if we believe in ourselves and our program, we will bring home a trophy!!
Let's get our game faces on and head to Portland with one mission: Give Hermiston all they can handle!!

What it means to "Go Hard"!!
Attention Wrestlers:
If you've ever wondered why the coaching staff has gotten on your case about not working hard enough, watch this video and compare your intensity level with these guys. It's easy to become content with your work ethic, believing or thinking that you're working hard, but intensity truly produces results! Watch the University of Iowa working short-time situations where both guys have to score with very little time left. Pay close attention to the sense of urgency these guys have. It's fun to watch!!
